ReddPost is built to help users plan and publish Reddit content. Most workflow data is stored locally in the browser. Account-related features use Supabase-hosted services, and the extension reads Reddit and Redgifs page content only to power user-facing posting and importing features.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the ReddPost website, the ReddPost browser extension, and related services used for authentication, account status, password reset, subreddit sync, and content workflow support.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, ReddPost may handle the following categories of information:
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication session details, and linked Reddit username when you create or use a ReddPost account.
- Authentication information, including secure session tokens used to keep you signed in.
- Optional remembered login details stored locally on your device if you enable a "remember me" style preference in the extension.
- Local workflow data, such as settings, categories, subreddit targets, flair choices, title libraries, generated post queues, content library records, post logs, cooldown tracking, and image editing settings such as watermark, crop, and blur preferences.
- Website content and page data from supported Reddit and Redgifs pages when you use features that import content, detect subreddit requirements, prefill posting flows, identify the active Reddit account, or detect posting outcomes.
- Content usage and sharing records, where applicable, for user-requested features that help avoid duplicate reuse across linked ReddPost account members.
ReddPost does not ask for unrelated personal data, payment data, or location data to provide its core extension features.
3. How We Use Information
We use information only to provide and improve the user-facing functionality of ReddPost, including:
- Creating and maintaining user accounts and sign-in sessions.
- Sending confirmation and password reset emails when requested by the user.
- Saving local extension preferences and workflow state on the user’s device.
- Reading supported Reddit and Redgifs pages to import data, detect posting rules, prefill submit flows, and confirm post results.
- Applying image-related posting tools requested by the user, such as watermark, crop, and blur adjustments before upload.
- Showing account plan status, linked Reddit usernames, and related account feature limits.
- Supporting optional shared content usage controls across linked members where that feature is enabled by the user.
4. Storage And Retention
Much of ReddPost's workflow data is stored locally in the browser using browser storage and local database mechanisms, such as extension storage and IndexedDB. This local data generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear it, or uninstall the extension.
Account-related features use Supabase-hosted backend services for sign-in, password recovery, account status, linked Reddit username features, and certain account-level feature checks.
If you enable optional remembered login details, those remembered values are stored locally on your device and can be removed by turning the option off, clearing extension data, or uninstalling the extension.
6. Google Sign-In And Limited Use
If you choose Google sign-in, ReddPost uses Chrome-supported authentication flows to complete that login and return the authentication result to the extension.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Your Choices
- You can remove local workflow data from the extension by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.
- You can disable remembered login details by turning off the remember option inside the extension.
- You can stop using account features at any time by logging out.
- You can request account-related support by contacting us at hello@reddpost.com.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information in transit and at rest where applicable. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to minimize collection and keep the extension's use of data closely tied to its stated functionality.
9. Children
ReddPost is not intended for children. Do not use the service if you are not legally permitted to use Reddit or related services in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Material changes will be reflected on this page before or when they take effect.
